About The Position

The Massage Therapist II provides professional, therapeutic spa services to guests at Kohler Waters Spa in Lincoln Park. Services include treatments such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, and hydrotherapy. The therapist learns about each guest’s concerns and needs before providing a service, shares information about spa services, retail products, and amenities, and offers sincere suggestions to support the guest’s wellness and beauty. The therapist is expected to know the products and provide accurate information within their area of expertise, and to prepare a wellness card for each guest featuring products recommended for home care. This is a casual part-time, onsite position working both weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. The competitive commission is based on a percentage of individual sales; the stated average commission plus gratuity per service is $83.00–$102.00. Actual commission may be influenced by a variety of factors.

Requirements

State of Illinois Massage Certificate required.
At least one year of experience.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Experience in a luxury spa setting is preferred.
