About The Position

Antwerpen Clarksville Autopark is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Maryland State Inspector Technician to join our team in Clarksville, MD. In this role, you will conduct thorough inspections to ensure vehicles meet all Maryland state safety and emissions standards. You will work closely with our service team to provide accurate evaluations and assist customers in understanding inspection results, helping to maintain the highest level of vehicle safety and compliance.

Requirements

Valid Maryland State Inspector Technician certification/license.
Proven experience conducting vehicle inspections or working in an automotive service environment.
Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and safety standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify safety and compliance issues.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Reliable transportation to and from the workplace in Clarksville, MD.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the US.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be insurable by the company and pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Perform state-mandated vehicle inspections in accordance with Maryland Department of Transportation regulations.
Inspect vehicles’ safety equipment, emissions, frame, tires, lights, brakes, and other critical components.
Document inspection results accurately and issue inspection certificates when appropriate.
Communicate inspection findings clearly to customers and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inspection area and tools.
Stay current with Maryland State inspection procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols while performing inspections.
