About The Position

Ascension Counseling is a private practice with locations in Beachwood and Columbus, Ohio, seeking part-time MFT/LPC, IMFT/LPCC, or IMFT-S/LPCC-S. This role is for motivated clinicians focused on helping couples with relationship distress and individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, and depression. The position requires clinicians to be comfortable seeing clients in the office and have competence working with children and/or adolescents. Gottman Level 1 training is required, as is building clinical competence in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. Clinicians should be available to work prime hours, including 4 evenings per week and at least 2 Saturdays per month. The caseload is 15 billable hours per week, involving psychotherapy for couples, families, and individuals. Compensation is competitive with other group practices in the area. Applicants must be licensed in Ohio and able to work in person in either Beachwood or Columbus. Ohio and North Carolina supervision, AAMFT supervision, EMDRIA consultation, and CEUs are provided. Employees are paid as W2, offering a tax saving.

Requirements

Currently licensed in good standing to practice in Ohio.
Gottman Level 1 training.
Clinical competence in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
Competence when working with children and/or adolescents.
Ability to work in person in Beachwood or Columbus.
Must be prepared to describe: ideal client, cultural competence training/CEUs outside of mandatory graduate classes, training in couples therapy and in a specific trauma theory such as EMDR Therapy or Prolonged Exposure Therapy, as well as any additional interventions enjoyed using in application materials.
