About The Position
Southwest Church is a Gospel-Centered, Multiethnic, Intergenerational Church focused on discipling people to become committed followers of Jesus Christ. This role involves providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, children, and families within the church community.
Requirements
- AMFT, ASW, or APCC licensure
- Experience conducting counseling sessions with individuals, couples, children, and families
- Experience facilitating group therapy sessions
- Experience diagnosing and treating mental health conditions
- Experience maintaining detailed client records
- Experience creating and executing treatment plans
- Experience evaluating clients and implementing support options
- Experience referring clients to community resources
- Experience collaborating with other care providers
- Experience conducting Mental Health Status Exams (MHSE), Suicide Risk Assessment, GAD-7, PCL-5, PHQ-9 and SWLS
- Experience responding to crisis situations
- Experience referring to higher levels of care
- Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based practices
- Experience engaging in clinical research
- Willingness to attend required supervision and staff meetings
- Willingness to participate in specialized trainings, conferences and community events
Responsibilities
- Conduct counseling sessions with individuals, couples, children, and families
- Facilitate Group Therapy sessions of 8-12 clients
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions
- Maintain detailed client records of treatment and services
- Create and execute treatment plans
- Evaluate clients to determine needs and implement support options
- Refer clients to community resources as needed
- Collaborate with other care providers to coordinate services
- Conduct Mental Health Status Exams (MHSE), Suicide Risk Assessment, GAD-7, PCL-5, PHQ-9 and SWLS
- Respond to Crisis situations
- Refer to higher level of care as needed
- Utilize evidence-based practices
- Engage in Clinical research to stay updated on clinical practices
- Attend required supervision and staff meetings as directed
- Participate in specialized trainings, conferences and community events as needed
