About The Position

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller will be responsible for the acquisition of State and Individual Marketplace product enrollees. They will conduct enrollment interviews and either assist in the completion of a recertification or Individual State/Marketplace approved application. The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller will follow all marketing guidelines, applications must be error free and adhere to enrollment regulations. This position will develop and maintain an assigned territory by implementing sales strategies and meeting established sales goals for all product lines as required. They will act as a liaison with the IH Foundation for community efforts targeted for the uninsured. A flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends will be a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be certified by NYSOH to enroll members on the NYS Healthcare Exchange within one month of hire.
  • Three (3) years of proven sales experience or working with the community regarding benefits including managed care and state products required.
  • Effectively communicate on a verbal and written basis with members, all levels of management and community contacts.
  • Local travel required.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Any Independent Health associate who uses a motor vehicle in the course of their duties representing Independent Health must be compliant with State Motor Vehicle laws and must follow the Policy that pertains to Driver’s License Requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to understand compliance policies and procedures and to implement and adhere to all required compliance sales and marketing requirements.
  • Experience in managing a book of business and community relationships, with the ability to represent Independent Health brand and core values in the community.
  • Exhibit initiative, creativity, and self-motivation.
  • Must work independently in an organized fashion and can manage and track all sales leads to meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Excellent time management skills to organize external and internal responsibilities.
  • Public speaking experience required.
  • Experience conducting presentations to groups and to individuals.
  • Ability to interact one-on-one to understand prospective customers’ needs and close the sale.
  • Ability to build relationships with one-on-one prospective and existing customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to display compassion and sound judgment towards prospective members and member situations.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team sales environment and contribute to meeting established sales goals.
  • Proficient internet, PC and Windows skills with the ability to quickly learn and implement sales lead generation web-based tools.
  • Ability to work required holidays, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct enrollment interviews and assist in the completion of recertifications or Individual State/Marketplace approved applications.
  • Follow all marketing guidelines, ensuring applications are error-free and adhere to enrollment regulations.
  • Develop and maintain an assigned territory by implementing sales strategies and meeting established sales goals for all product lines.
  • Act as a liaison with the IH Foundation for community efforts targeted for the uninsured.
  • Successfully complete NYS facilitated enroller training according to NYSDOH standards.
  • Interview prospective applicants, collect documentation and complete state applications according to the regulations of the NYSDOH facilitated enrollment guidelines, ensuring 100% compliance.
  • Generate new sales by preparing and presenting NYS product information to prospects at community based agencies, provider sites, businesses, local Department of Social Services sites and other approved locations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community sites in an effort to set up a reoccurring onsite presence.
  • Attend and engage at events in the community to generate leads.
  • Close sales through territory development to meet established monthly sales goals and performance measures.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for assigned territory and review monthly progress with sales supervisor and director.
  • Complete weekly marketing reports and provide enrollment statistics to supervisor.
  • Maintain technical proficiency regarding Independent Health’s contracts, benefits, policies and procedures.
  • Attend sales training, regulatory and skill based training sessions.
  • Demonstrate expertise of all systems necessary to perform the functions of the position.
  • Meet the accuracy and quality metrics and be proficient with all necessary systems including Siebel, SalesForce, and HealthRules and achieve an 85% passing score on all training exams.
