About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, maintaining cleanliness and condition of the marketplace, stocking supplies, preparing beverages and food, handling customer orders and payments, and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards. The role also requires providing excellent guest service, maintaining a professional appearance, and working collaboratively with team members. Specific duties include setting up and cleaning equipment and areas, stocking ice, glassware, and paper supplies, washing dishes and utensils, managing cash registers and bank deposits, and securing inventory. The job also emphasizes following safety and security procedures, reporting accidents, and protecting company assets. Additionally, the role requires developing positive working relationships, meeting quality expectations, and performing various physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors.
  • Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of counter, tables, and other tools.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
  • Transport supplies to beverage set-up area.
  • Wash soiled glassware.
  • Remove soiled wares from counter and tables and place in designated area.
  • Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer.
  • Take orders, record in MICROS system, issue, open, and dispense wine/beer bottles, and prepare food and coffee beverages.
  • Present the order to the guest in a timely manner and within standards.
  • Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times.
  • Bus counter areas and tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, counter, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day.
  • Obtain change required for expected business level.
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Secure beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure personal appearance and uniforms are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
