About The Position

The Marketplace Associate will provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection and locating merchandise. This role involves assisting customers at the seafood counter, handling product inquiries, maintaining an organized display, and ensuring products are properly presented. The associate will also be responsible for stocking, organizing, and replenishing merchandise to maintain appropriate inventory levels and an attractive sales floor and seafood display. A key responsibility is performing seafood re-pack operations, including weighing, portioning, packaging, labeling, and preparing seafood products for sale in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards. Additionally, the associate will bag customer purchases efficiently and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the sales floor, seafood counter, and work areas.

Requirements

• Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience preferred.
• Seafood handling, food preparation, or re-pack experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and move merchandise as required.
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Bag customer purchases in a neat, organized, and efficient manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the sales floor, seafood counter, and work areas by addressing spills, debris, and other potential hazards.
• Perform all additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
