About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Marketo Consultant with deep expertise in Adobe Marketo Engage to support enterprise marketing automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and business knowledge across Marketo architecture, automation, integrations, governance, troubleshooting, and platform optimization. The consultant will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand objectives, assess existing environments, identify implementation gaps, and recommend scalable Marketo solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

Deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Marketo Engage.
7+ years of direct client consulting experience.
Strong experience designing and supporting complex Marketo implementations.
Expertise in B2B marketing automation best practices.
Strong knowledge of Marketo architecture, data design, automation, integrations, governance, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and CRM synchronization.
Experience with enterprise integration patterns and scalable data architectures.
Strong understanding of Smart Campaign processing, automation performance, and operational workflows.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and implementation solutions.
Experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong consulting, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using AI tools to improve daily workflows and delivery.

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating Marketo with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms.
Experience supporting complex B2B marketing operations environments.
Knowledge of other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.
Experience with web and mobile solution architecture.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Experience working in fast-paced consulting environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in Adobe Marketo Engage and B2B marketing automation.
Gather business objectives, technical requirements, KPIs, and marketing use cases.
Assess existing Marketo environments and identify implementation and optimization opportunities.
Translate business requirements into scalable Marketo solution designs.
Review technical designs for feasibility, scalability, governance, and alignment with business objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations and best-practice guidance.
Design and evaluate Marketo integrations with CRM, ERP, CDP, and other enterprise platforms.
Work with REST APIs, Webhooks, CRM synchronization, and enterprise integration patterns.
Evaluate API usage, processing limits, throughput, concurrency, and scalability considerations.
Design scalable B2B data models and integration architectures.
Identify potential downstream impacts and recommend sustainable solutions.
Design and optimize Smart Campaigns, programs, lead lifecycle processes, and nurture workflows.
Troubleshoot complex automation issues, processing delays, sync backlogs, campaign recursion, and unintended behavior.
Provide guidance on custom fields, custom objects, custom activities, and advanced Marketo data structures.
Establish governance standards for programs, folders, naming conventions, and operational processes.
Optimize Design Studio assets, including emails, forms, templates, and landing pages.
Manage multiple consulting engagements and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
Collaborate with marketers, analysts, developers, architects, and executive stakeholders.
Lead technical discussions, discovery sessions, solution reviews, and presentations.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and serve as a trusted Marketo advisor.
Develop solution documentation, technical recommendations, implementation guides, and operational documentation.
Maintain project records, estimates, and delivery documentation.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve research, productivity, and solution delivery.
Stay current with Adobe Marketo capabilities, marketing automation trends, and emerging technologies.
