About The Position

Active Minds is seeking a Marketing Strategy Intern for its Fall 2026 program. This internship is designed for current college students and recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector. The intern will be a crucial part of the Marketing and Communications team, supporting the development of data-driven marketing plans, analyzing key metrics and trends, and contributing to impactful brand campaigns. Responsibilities include building marketing plans, crafting strategic messages, assisting with project management, and driving initiatives to increase awareness and attendance for Active Minds programming. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how nonprofits leverage audience insights, develop targeted messaging, and execute creative campaigns. Interns will collaborate with passionate staff members, deepen their understanding of mental health advocacy, and make a tangible impact on the organization's mission.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or have previously attended, a U.S. based college or university.
  • Able to complete a work authorization (I-9) during onboarding.
  • Able to complete the entirety of the internship program in the listed dates.
  • Strong interest or experience in marketing strategy, media buying, e-commerce, and event marketing.
  • Experience and interest in problem-solving, data analytics, market trends, and KPI reporting.
  • Curiosity about audience behaviors and customer segmentation development.
  • Experience or familiarity with integrated campaign management and project coordination.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with specific interest or experience in crafting brand messaging and advertising copy.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
  • Detail-oriented, creative thinker, and a collaborative team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, Dropbox, ClickUp, and Salesforce (a plus).

  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
