About The Position

Our Marketing Specialist works under the supervision of our Marketing Manager and is responsible for day-to-day tasks, including social media, email campaigns, signage creation, data entry and events. This individual will provide support to the administration department as a whole and assist in tasks that support the goal of increasing gross store sales. Concord Food Co-op is a natural foods grocery store, bakery, and café with locations in Concord, NH and New London, NH. A pillar of Main St., the Co-op strives to support and enhance the New Hampshire community by only stocking ethically-sourced natural foods and through positive cooperative action in-store and in the community.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity with a focus on design, brand consistency, writing, and editing.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently and sometimes under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, note taking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Works with guidance from Administration Department
  • Performs a variety of tasks independently as dictated by Administration department
  • Relates information to diverse individuals both orally and in writing
  • Must have good analytical ability
  • Working on computer 95% of the time
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking.
  • Degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Arts or related field is preferred, or 1-3 years of combined experience in an administrative, communications or marketing role.
  • Skilled in Canva and Adobe (with an emphasis in InDesign and Illustrator) or willingness to learn.
  • Experience using social media platforms and designing content (Canva, Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, Survey Monkey)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA & other federal, state & local standards - including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA & other federal, state and local standards
  • Compliance with all personnel policies

Responsibilities

  • Be responsive to social media audience feedback and questions
  • Assist in managing the marketing calendar, including social media posting and content creation
  • Update website regularly, including creation of new pages and content
  • Create posters, signage and stickers in Adobe or Canva for various departments
  • Help plan, set up, organize, and work Co-op community events and kid focused programs
  • Serve as the point of contact and outreach representative to local businesses and organizations
  • Accurate entry of data into the POS system
  • Assist in monthly sale changeovers
  • Covers basic Marketing and Data Integrity manager duties in their absence
