About The Position

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. Job Purpose Strategize with corporate and regional leadership to develop persuasive proposals, strategic presentations and general customer/supplier communications that accurately reflect MRC Global’s value proposition and support the corporate business plans and company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all-inclusive) Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Understand MRC Global’s vision, mission, and core values, as well as overall business across gas utility, downstream, and up/midstream market segments, to create responses, proposals, and presentations that support MRC Global’s value proposition. Strategize with executive, corporate accounts, sales, supply chain, operations, corporate departments, and regional management to develop. Response to requests for proposals, requests for information, questionnaires, etc., to gain and/or retain business. Prepare presentations for internal and external use that describe MRC Global’s value proposition, company goals, and/or business plans. Research and write industry/customer-related articles to be included in internal and external MRC Global websites and publications. Develop, conduct, and analyze results of customer satisfaction surveys. Communicate results to internal and external customers. Assist in other business development/retention activities as requested. Assure compliance with company business processes. Adhere to MRC Global's ethics policy and hold others accountable for behavior that is consistent with MRC Global's ethical standards. Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, and report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business plans, pricing, and product, customer base, and industries served, strong writing, math/analytics, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to craft multimedia-based presentations and persuasive proposals using creativity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish excellent rapport with upper management, corporate employees, service center employees, vendors, and customers.
  • The ability to work as part of a collaborative team, strong listening and communication skills.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills to prioritize required duties and ensure timely delivery of information.
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn MRC Global-specific software.
  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
  • Ability to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
