The Marketing Specialist II position is responsible for promoting the University of Arkansas Power Group’s (UAPG) national and global leadership in wide band gap (WBG) electronics and semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing. This position elevates awareness of UAPG’s research and development capabilities, facilities, partnerships, and workforce initiatives to industry, government, and academic audiences through strategic marketing, communications, and event support. This role develops marketing materials and graphical designs and executes promotional and outreach efforts across a multitude of channels, including social media, webinars, conferences, written materials, tabling, public speaking, photographing events, and attending in-person events. This position is also responsible for designing and developing external long and short form print and media publications, leading webinars, and helps ensure consistent branding and messaging across all UAPG activities. This position blends marketing, communications, and event management, with specific duties including: This position may require work outside of normal business hours. The Marketing Specialist II reports to and is evaluated by the Marketing, Communications, and Events Planning Manager and works in collaboration with colleagues throughout the campus. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
