About The Position

This position will manage agency relationships in vacant field marketing territories or agencies assigned by the VP of Marketing. It works closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and Field Marketing Representatives to support the onboarding of new agencies, ensuring their successful integration with Goodville Mutual's products, processes, sales, and marketing strategies. The role also supports the VP of Marketing in managing national agency relationships to achieve production and profitability goals and foster long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in marketing, management, or communications, with demonstrated skills in these areas.
  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company underwriting guidelines and explain the company’s lines of coverage.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment based on company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with company computer systems, processing methods, and agency management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to travel to all organization offices (including in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota) and vendor work sites.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years’ experience in marketing and/or underwriting Property and Casualty insurance products, services, and/or independent agency operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance regulations and laws of assigned states.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Field Marketing Representatives for successful onboarding of newly appointed agencies and their employees.
  • Assist agencies with marketing, including co-op advertising support and underwriting within guidelines.
  • Maintain a presence in territories without field marketing representatives to promote the company image and profitable growth.
  • Support agency growth and profitability goals with appropriate strategies and tactics.
  • Add value to agency interactions through pre-call planning and post-meeting follow-through.
  • Review Agency Performance Reports to identify and achieve profitability goals for national agency relationships.
  • Complete call reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry and marketing practices/trends through continuing education.
  • Pursue appropriate Property and Casualty insurance designations, such as CPCU.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
