About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Marketing Proposal Specialist I to join our West Water Marketing Team. This role will work in collaboration with the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits. Responsibilities include partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, such as expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts. This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote and in-office work schedules, and can be based in offices including Los Angeles, CA; Orange, CA; San Francisco, CA; Oakland, CA; Sacramento, CA; and Denver, CO.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry
  • A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
  • A working knowledge of InDesign as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with small to medium proposal/LOIs/SOQs.
  • Support capture teams with pre-RFP proposal planning and help develop and apply the win plan, themes, and discriminators in marketing deliverables.
  • Create proposal schedules and templates, perform production tasks, and demonstrate a clear understanding of compliance.
  • Develop compliance matrices and creates reasonable, agreed-upon schedules for content development, production, and delivery.
  • Contribute to and support the writing and/or editing and/or formatting of resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
  • Participate in color reviews (Pink and Red team) to build institutional knowledge and may coordinate proposal review meetings and ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.
  • Support Go/No Go and greenlight analysis conversations and maintain CRM data system content as needed.
  • Participate in internal debriefs as part of pursuit team, as requested.
  • Understand and follow company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory) under supervision of others.
  • Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.
