About The Position

This position is remote; however, it is required to live in or around Columbia, South Carolina. The role conducts primary/secondary market research to be used in the development of new products/programs. It provides information in concise/well-written reports to assist in strategic/marketing plans. The specialist implements and manages major marketing projects after launch, makes recommendations on product enhancement/performance, market demographics, and new market potential. Additionally, this role trains and supports the marketing team to improve program engagement and member experience. This is a full-time (40-hours/week) position, Monday-Friday, with an 8-hour shift scheduled during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Occasional overtime may be necessary, and travel between buildings might be required. The physical work location is 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field.
  • Three years of marketing support experience, including project coordination and implementations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of business development, strategic planning, marketing support, and process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and techniques.
  • Strong project planning and analytical/critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research, coordinate, manage, and implement major marketing projects.
  • Manage products/programs after launch/implementation, including promotional campaigns, strategic planning, and product management.
  • Develop and conduct primary market research on competitors, industry analysis, customer analysis, market trends, portfolio analysis, product development, and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external companies and vendors.
  • Ensure all activities align with the strategic plan, timeline, and budget.
  • Manage the development of project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation.
  • Identify teamwork and testing assignments and provide oversight and direction to project managers and project test teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of detailed project plans, including monitoring and control of budgeted costs and delivery timelines.
  • Identify business requirements.
  • Support new business implementations or acquisitions.
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, resource requirements, service levels, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders during all phases of projects.
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
