About The Position

We are looking for a visionary Marketing & Event Manager to serve as the heartbeat of The Citizen House experience. You turn big ideas into packed rooms, moving effortlessly between large-scale productions and boutique guest experiences. Your mission is to cement Citizen House as the most vibrant social destination in Oklahoma City. As the architect of our programming calendar, you’ll dream up original concepts, execute them with flawless precision, and use high-impact marketing to build a thriving community.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years in marketing, community management, events, or similar fields.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to ensure the successful execution of our programming calendar.
  • Experience building event calendars, managing budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and coordinating complex on-site schedules.
  • Ability to execute coordinated marketing campaigns across social media, email, SMS, and digital platforms to drive event attendance and guest engagement.
  • Strong visual eye with the ability to create professional-grade digital assets and write engaging, brand-consistent copy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage support staff and handle high-pressure situations with grace.
  • A deep understanding of the Oklahoma City social landscape and a network of local vendors and creators.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for all member events, driving engagement and attendance through email, SMS, social media, and on-site touchpoints.
  • Design high-impact assets and write punchy, persuasive copy that turns event concepts into "can't-miss" experiences along with sharing real-time event highlights.
  • Manage RSVP tracking and member communication workflows to ensure every event is well-attended and every member is informed.
  • Assisting with conceptualizing a balanced monthly calendar featuring large-scale themed gatherings and a consistent schedule of niche micro-events that foster deeper member engagement.
  • Helping manage all end-to-end production, including vendor negotiations, catering, equipment rentals, and budget tracking.
  • Serving as the on-site host for all programming providing direction to support staff and ensuring a premium experience for every attendee.
