About The Position

WM is seeking a strategic, marketing leader to drive the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing programs that support WM’s growth, sustainability, and recycling goals. This role bridges corporate marketing and business line priorities, ensuring initiatives are communicated with clarity, credibility, and impact. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor, business acumen, and creative vision. He/She thrives in fast-paced environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and inspires cross-functional teams through high-energy leadership and executive-ready communication.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in B2B.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and resolve complex challenges independently.
  • Excellent execution/ organizational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Service-oriented, proactive, and adaptable mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA or Integrated Marketing Communications a plus).
  • Driving results with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive, service mentality and ability to work both autonomously and in a cross-functional team.
  • Building consensus across senior stakeholders and demonstrating strategic partnership, confident presence and mature judgement.
  • Operating effectively in a matrix organization and fast-paced environment where ownership, accountability, and way forward may be unclear – you drive for clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead marketing strategies that advance WM’s goals and business growth.
  • Translate complex offerings into compelling, customer-focused value propositions.
  • Align marketing plans with sales objectives, revenue, and sustainability targets.
  • Drive cross-functional execution of Marketing campaigns across all customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with sales, advisory services, and communications teams to deliver programs on time and on budget.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across Marketing materials.
  • Represent strategic marketing across internal teams and external partners.
  • Present strategies, insights, and deliverables to senior leaders with clarity and confidence.
  • Develop creative briefs and guide messaging across channels.
  • Lead multichannel campaigns across the customer lifecycle, ensuring message alignment.
  • Manage updates to internal and external content platforms and enable sales.
  • Define KPIs and frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve engagement and conversion.
