Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the Marketing Department. Coordinates advertising and marketing data with marketing firm on new marketing and advertising strategies to increase gross revenue, while making maximum utilization of established budget. Empowered to make discretionary decisions regarding Marketing, Entertainment, Promotions and Special Events of the Casino. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for developing ideas for marketing and advertising strategies to increase gross revenue and increase customer base. Helps design, produce and manage Casino web page. Responsible for promotions and special events through a direct mail program. Submits recommendations for special events and marketing programs. Reviews and analyses activities, costs, operations and forecast data, to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives. Represent casino at different public and social events. Spokesperson for casino for public events and or fundraisers pertaining to the casino. Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled Promotions meeting with all department heads. Participates in administering company policies and developing and recommending long-range goals and objectives. Reviews and analyses activities, costs, operations and forecast data, to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives. Confers with Director of Marketing, to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives, resulting from current status and conditions. Held accountable, to the highest degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Work under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Responsible for compliance with the Casino’s internal control policy and procedure as it relates to the positions stated job description. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendation for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problem. Special Qualifications: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Must possess a working knowledge of advertising/marketing principles and be capable of applying it to various special projects and player development events. Education and/or Experience: BA in Business, Marketing, Finance or the equivalent in experience. Experience in Casino management, above and beyond that required below, my be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Five years of progressive supervisory experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the Casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
