About The Position

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and executing VCA Canada’s partner and e-commerce initiatives. As the primary day-to-day contact for partners, this role supports and strengthens relationships to ensure initiatives meet client and organizational needs. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of marketing programs. Budget management, post-campaign reviews, and ROI analysis are key components of the role to ensure optimal execution and effective use of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications.
  • 8–10+ years of marketing experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and consulting skills, with strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution capabilities and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience negotiating with external vendors, with a proven track record of managing complex, organization-wide programs and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in budget and accounting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Understanding of campaign evaluation and ROI.
  • Experience working with regulated industries.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary industry experience is preferred.
  • Spoken and written French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day partner relationships and requirements related to marketing and e-commerce initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive partner marketing proposals, ensuring activities align with VCA Canada’s annual strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement VCA Canada programs that enhance the client experience and spotlight partner offerings.
  • Partner with the Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) Commercial team to lead and support the RFP process for VCA Canada partners.
  • Manage partner budgets and funds reporting, working closely with Accounting to support AP/AR processes.
  • In partnership with the MVH Commercial team, develop and lead quarterly partner check-ins.
  • Establish standardized reporting and consistent performance measurement for partners.
  • Develop, nurture and evaluate VCA Canada’s sponsorships.
  • Develop and nurture content opportunities associated with any sponsorship or event.
  • Strategy development, execution, and evaluation of internal and external conferences.
  • Partnering with the Senior Director, Client Growth to support VCA Canada shelter programs.
  • Develop measurement and reporting on overall shelter partner and hospital performance.
  • Develop, nurture and evaluate VCA Canada’s community giving programs.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns and materials for various hospital and client programs.
  • Responsible for the project management, development and execution of hospital signage
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Director, Client Growth on supporting various hospital programs and priorities
  • Evolve and manage brand articulation in various mediums and channels (i.e. uniform, signage, marketing collateral, swag, on-hold messaging etc.).
  • Coordinate communications related to partner programs and promotions for internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and execute operational requirements (both e-commerce and partner programs) in partnership with external stakeholders such as (but not limited to): Operations, Legal, Accounting, IT.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Medical Operations and partners to coordinate partner participation in continuing education programs.
  • Coordinate and execute internal communications related to e-commerce initiatives.
  • Partner with Hospital Operations on partnership opportunities and requests.
  • Stay connected with VCA Animal Hospitals in the United States and Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) programming and initiatives for potential scalability and localization opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives to strengthen ecosystem connectivity and share best practices.
