The Marketing Manager is a creative, strategic, and mission-driven professional responsible for elevating The Just One Project's brand and community engagement. This role leads all marketing, communications, and promotional efforts to support programs, drive volunteer engagement, inspire donor support, and enhance awareness of the organization's impact. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative nonprofit environment and is passionate about using marketing to strengthen community connection.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and mission aligned messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced graphic design proficiency including concept development, layout, typography, branding application, and production ready file preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, Canva, video editing software, social media management platforms, Shopify, website content management systems, and digital analytics tools.
  • Strong creative thinking and visual storytelling ability with the capacity to develop original concepts and carry them through to polished final deliverables.
  • Strategic marketing acumen with the ability to align messaging and campaigns to organizational goals and revenue objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze engagement metrics, interpret performance data, and apply insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments while maintaining brand standards and quality control.
  • Vendor management and print production knowledge including proofing, formatting specifications, and quality assurance.
  • Leadership capability with the ability to provide direction, feedback, and accountability to interns, contractors, or volunteers.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively in both office and event environments, including adaptability during high visibility community events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, OR related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or communications leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi channel campaigns and large scale event marketing.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Food Handlers Card within thirty days of hire due to required participation in food distribution events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational, fundraising, and program goals.
  • Serve as the organization's primary brand authority, providing brand creation, direction, approval, and oversight across departments.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging, visual identity, and storytelling across all platforms, programs, campaigns, and community facing materials.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, development, programs, and operations to align marketing with organizational priorities.
  • Manage marketing budgets and vendor relationships to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Lead advanced graphic design production using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Canva, and related tools.
  • Design and produce flyers, brochures, signage, annual reports, presentations, campaigns, social graphics, print collateral, and large format materials.
  • Manage the full print production lifecycle including formatting, proofing, vendor coordination, and quality control.
  • Maintain and enforce brand standards, templates, and visual guidelines across all organizational materials.
  • Oversee development and execution of branded merchandise from concept through production and launch.
  • Lead full cycle social media strategy and execution across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok including ideation, filming, editing, publishing, and performance tracking.
  • Create mission driven digital content aligned with organizational voice and community impact.
  • Capture and document programs, events, and organizational milestones through photography and video.
  • Produce, film, and edit podcast content including audio and video production and post production.
  • Monitor analytics, engagement metrics, and performance data to refine strategy and optimize results.
  • Oversee website content, SEO optimization, accessibility standards, and digital user experience.
  • Lead marketing strategy and execution for executive, donor, fundraising, programmatic, and community events from concept through completion.
  • Plan and execute grand openings, launches, activations, campaigns, and large scale organizational events including branding, timelines, vendors, and on site execution.
  • Coordinate cross departmental marketing needs and campaign launches.
  • Oversee signage, branded materials, and visual execution for all events and activations.
  • Lead public relations, media relations, and external communications strategy.
  • Write press releases, media statements, executive messaging, and campaign communications.
  • Cultivate media relationships and secure press coverage, features, and interviews.
  • Manage external storytelling, reputation management, and public messaging.
  • Support crisis communications and rapid response messaging as needed.
  • Manage and optimize the Shopify platform, including product uploads, inventory management, order fulfillment coordination, and shipping logistics.
  • Develop and execute creative concepts for merchandise and e commerce campaigns, carrying ideas from concept through final production. Strong graphic design skills and visual storytelling are required to ensure brand consistency and revenue alignment.
  • Oversee in office merchandise inventory tracking, packaging, and distribution while aligning merchandising strategy with organizational campaigns and branding standards.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Work cross functionally with executive leadership, programs, development, operations, and external partners.
  • Maintain execution speed while ensuring brand standards and quality control.
  • Supervise marketing interns, assistants, contractors, or volunteers as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
