About The Position

VAA is seeking a Marketing Manager/Director to join our team. The Marketing Manager/Director is responsible for leading the firm's overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, respond to/support client RFP/RFQ's, client acquisition, content generation and revenue growth. This role works closely with market sector leads to develop strategic market plans and execute firmwide initiatives. The position is both strategic and hands-on, setting direction while contributing to day-to-day execution.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising or related field
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience within marketing, ideally in the public services sector

Responsibilities

Act as brand steward: ensure consistent brand use, protect reputation, and elevate visibility through integrated campaigns.
Drive thought leadership by developing high-quality content, articles, presentations, and speaking engagements.
Support business development through pursuit strategies, client campaigns, annual client events, and tradeshows.
Lead and mentor a small marketing team while managing external vendors.
Manage marketing aspects of CRM, website, and technology stack; track and report on campaign performance.
Oversee marketing strategy, brand development, communications, and RFQ/RFP responses.
