About The Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to develop, coordinate, direct, and administer our facility’s marketing and public relations programs and services. This role involves maintaining and increasing census by developing and implementing public relations and marketing programs, ensuring accurate public information, and fostering positive internal and external communications. The Marketing Liaison also plays a key role in customer satisfaction, community engagement, and managing information release during emergencies.

Requirements

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years experience in marketing/public relations in a health care setting may be recognized in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, direct, and administer facility’s marketing and public relations programs and services.
  • Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s public relations and marketing programs and activities to maintain and increase census and provide community information.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for the release of information concerning residents, employees, and the facility, adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Assist department directors in developing and using marketing and public relations policies and procedures.
  • Establish rapport between departments to emphasize the importance of each staff member's role in marketing and public relations.
  • Review and update marketing and public relations policies and procedures at least annually.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Interpret facility policies and procedures regarding the release of information to employees, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
  • Ensure public information materials are accurate and fully descriptive.
  • Ensure all employees follow established policies and procedures for information release.
  • Organize and implement continuing internal communications (bulletin boards, newsletters, etc.).
  • Schedule and participate in departmental meetings concerning marketing and public relations.
  • Provide creative support for activity and social services departments.
  • Maintain liaison with families, residents, and community and civic leaders.
  • Participate in community service and civic groups.
  • Contact the news media for new programs or promotions.
  • Keep the Administrator informed of relevant news media coverage.
  • Establish a public relations area during emergencies to ensure accurate information release.
  • Assist department directors in planning and conducting in-service training, on-the-job training, and orientation programs.
  • Create and maintain a warm, positive, and calm environment.
  • Follow established ergonomics policies and procedures.
  • Prepare a departmental operating budget for approval and allocate resources.
  • Serve on facility committees as directed by the Administrator.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information and report unauthorized disclosures.
  • Interpret resident rights to residents, families, and staff.
