DreamLawn powered by Holganix is seeking a Marketing Lead to guide and execute the company’s marketing strategy as the business enters its next phase of growth. This role oversees all marketing efforts for DreamLawn, with a strong focus on customer retention, lifecycle marketing, and long-term customer value. The Marketing Lead will lead efforts across email and SMS automation, paid search, SEO, website performance, brand messaging, and customer communications. A key focus is turning one-time services into recurring programs and keeping customers engaged throughout the year. This role manages the marketing budget, oversees external partners, and builds the systems needed to support continued growth. Over time, the Marketing Lead may build and lead an in-house marketing team. This role reports to the President of DreamLawn and works closely with the Holganix marketing team and is based full-time in DreamLawn’s Kansas City office.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in lawn care or a related home services industry
  • Experience driving both customer acquisition and retention in a service-based business
  • Strong background in lifecycle marketing, including email and SMS automation
  • Experience managing digital channels such as paid search, SEO, and online advertising
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign performance
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategist and hands-on marketer

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing recurring home services businesses with seasonal demand
  • Familiarity with RealGreen or similar service industry CRM platforms
  • Experience managing agencies or external marketing partners
  • Experience building or leading a marketing team

Responsibilities

  • Lead DreamLawn’s overall marketing strategy and priorities
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate spend across acquisition, retention, and brand awareness
  • Track marketing performance and adjust strategy based on results
  • Manage external marketing partners and vendors
  • Identify future marketing hires as the business grows
  • Build lifecycle marketing programs that increase retention and repeat services
  • Develop automated email and SMS campaigns that keep customers engaged throughout the season
  • Create service reminders and communications that encourage customers to enroll in ongoing programs
  • Improve customer communication to reduce cancellations and increase lifetime value
  • Manage customer acquisition across paid search, SEO, and digital advertising
  • Improve lead quality through keyword strategy, landing pages, and campaign optimization
  • Oversee website performance and search visibility, including local and city-specific pages
  • Develop partnerships and referral programs that generate new customers
  • Guide DreamLawn’s brand messaging and ensure consistency across campaigns and channels
  • Oversee creative development for advertising, website content, and customer communications
  • Support the development of video and social content that builds brand awareness
