About The Position

The New York Life Investments Marketing Summer Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for rising juniors and seniors interested in marketing, branding, digital strategy, communications, and financial services. This 10-week paid internship begins in June 2027 and is based in our New York City and Jersey City offices. Interns will join the NYLIM Marketing organization and support one of the following teams: Product Marketing Institutional Marketing Web Marketing Throughout the summer, interns will participate in business overviews, networking opportunities, leadership presentations, training sessions, and collaborative intern programming while gaining firsthand exposure to one of the nation's leading asset managers.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Likewise, this program is not available to those authorized to work under optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).
  • Comfort working with digital tools and platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Creativity with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with digital marketing platforms or design tools is a plus.
  • Interest in marketing, branding, communications, digital strategy, business, or financial services.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience, leadership in campus organizations, or marketing-related coursework is preferred but not required.
  • Preferred majors include Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, Digital Media, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Economics, Data Analytics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refresh marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, videos, webcasts, flyers, blogs, emails, and digital assets.
  • Support marketing campaigns promoting a variety of product structures—such as mutual funds, ETFs, and interval funds—across equities, fixed income, municipal bonds, multi-asset, and alternatives.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues, including marketing managers, brand, digital, and marketing operations, as well as business partners across Compliance and Business Intelligence teams, to help execute campaigns.
  • Support strategic marketing initiatives and special projects.
  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns targeting institutional investors.
  • Assist with website updates and social media promotion.
  • Upload thought leadership, webinars, and multimedia content to distribution platforms.
  • Coordinate webinars, seminars, and educational events.
  • Track campaign performance metrics and prepare reporting.
  • Conduct competitive research to improve messaging and positioning.
  • Assist in the creation of digital experiences to support the rollout of marketing campaigns that showcase NYLI offerings to financial advisor, institutional, and retail audiences.
  • Ensure web experiences align with broader business goals and brand strategy.
  • Gain hands-on content management experience through updates to maintain and refresh web experiences, assist with quality assurance (QA), and learn best practices for search engine optimization, LLM optimization, and accessibility.
  • Assist with the publication, distribution, and promotion of timely market insights across digital channels, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
  • Participate in UX and content design sessions, collaborating to create engaging digital experiences that meet audience expectations and deliver on business goals.
  • Conduct research to evaluate how our digital experiences compare to competitors.
  • Provide insights to help improve current web experiences and inform future efforts.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using key metrics.
  • Analyze results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
