About The Position

In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program here at Northeastern University. We are looking for a Marketing Intern who is creative, culturally in-tune, and passionate about storytelling and digital engagement. In this role, you will support and execute our social media strategy across platforms, help to bring our brand's voice to life through compelling content, facilitate meaningful community interaction, and make data-informed decisions. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for an undergraduate student looking to build real-world experience in social media marketing, content creation, and brand strategy. You'll play an active role in shaping how we connect with our target market — from crafting scroll-stopping videos and graphics to engaging directly with our audience and representing our brand at events.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to execute and continuously refine social media strategy, focusing on content creation across a variety of platforms (including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook)
  • Assist in social media calendar development and posting on all social media feeds
  • Monitor and engage with the community on social media by responding to comments, direct messages, and conversations across social media platforms
  • Create and edit videos with a focus on dining locations on campus, special events, food and nutrition trends, and sustainability
  • Track and report on social media analytics (reach, engagement, follower growth)
  • Create marketing materials to numerous specifications
  • Surveying students to collect marketing research
  • Act as a brand representative
  • Support the marketing team in event planning, organizing, and hosting as needed
