About The Position

Fleetzero is building battery-electric ships and is seeking a Marketing Intern for the summer and fall. This is a real-work internship where the intern will draft content, conduct research, prepare for events, support campaigns, and assist the marketing team with their weekly needs. The work produced will be real and contribute to shipped products, providing the intern with portfolio pieces. The intern will work directly with the VP of Marketing.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Strong writing skills, with a natural creative propensity.
Familiarity with at least one of: social media management, content production, graphic design, or marketing analytics.
High agency: ability to figure things out, ask smart questions, and work independently.
Interest in maritime, energy, defense, or deep tech.
Ability to work on-site at our Houston facility.

Nice To Haves

Experience running or contributing to a campus organization's social media or communications.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing software.
Previous internship or project experience in a startup, agency, or technical industry.

Responsibilities

Draft content, conduct research, prepare for events, support campaigns, and handle other team needs.
Research and content: competitor analysis, industry reports, editorial research, and first drafts of marketing copy.
Social media support: drafting posts, sourcing assets, scheduling content, and tracking performance.
Event and trade show logistics: vendor coordination, materials prep, and on-site support.
Campaign operations: CRM data hygiene, list building, ad creative coordination, and performance reporting.
Brand and design assistance: Canva/Figma projects, presentation decks, and internal collateral.
Ad hoc projects: assisting wherever the team needs support.
