About The Position

West Paw is seeking a talented and multifaceted Marketing Intern for the summer, with the potential to continue into the fall. This role involves approximately 8-10 hours per week, with a mix of on-site work at our Bozeman, Montana offices and remote work. The ideal candidate is a junior, senior, or master’s degree student with a background in social media, graphic design, video, and content creation, particularly TikTok-style content. This position functions as both a marketer and a graphic designer, collaborating with the Revenue team on social media, digital brand presence, product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives directly linked to revenue generation. The role requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently on consistent tasks, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • Junior, senior, or master’s degree student.
  • Background in social media, graphic design, video, and content creation, particularly TikTok-style videos/posts.
  • Ability to pivot from one priority to another as needed.
  • Ability to work independently, ensuring standard tasks are completed on a consistent cadence.
  • Experience with Adobe products.
  • Experience with Shopify.
  • Resume and cover letter stating interest and alignment with internship duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ideating, collaborating, and creating fun, engaging, and brand-relevant content for social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), the website (including blog-style posts), and the retailer e-learning academy.
  • Daily responses to social media comments and messages across all platforms, and connecting with dog influencers for content and potential partnerships.
  • Collaborating with the Revenue team and external Marketing resources to design, update, and maintain digital assets and graphics/artwork using Adobe products.
  • Assisting with the management of product pages for optimal presentation and management in Shopify and on the external website.
  • Assisting with email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, scheduling, and post-campaign analytics.
  • Aligning social media and email marketing efforts with overall Marketing Strategy, product launches, and mini-campaign themes.
  • Analyzing social media metrics to make recommendations for next actions/strategy modifications.
