About The Position

Graham Construction, a 3G Company, is hiring a Marketing Intern to support marketing and business development across Graham Construction and 3G Companies. The intern will gain exposure to the construction industry, company projects, and marketing strategies while helping with market research, content creation, proposal development, and organizing marketing materials and client information. The internship runs from May through August 2027 and is onsite at the Des Moines, Iowa office, Monday through Friday. At the end of the internship, the intern will complete a project and present findings and recommendations to the leadership team. The intern will also complete education projects and assignments related to marketing, business development, and the construction industry.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferred, or an associate degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Development, Communications, or a related field.
Familiarity with Adobe Suite, especially InDesign; familiarity with Canva and Excel is also noted.
Comfortable learning and working with CRM and database systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Extremely detail-oriented.
Strong leadership skills.
Organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of information accurately.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass post-offer employment testing and a post-offer drug test.
Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday from the Des Moines, Iowa office.

Responsibilities

Attend weekly Sales/Marketing L10 meetings.
Update contacts in TrebleHook and generate reports from the system.
Inventory and gather project photos for proposals.
Create content for Graham and 3G Companies social media platforms.
Make basic updates to marketing materials using InDesign.
Research customers and companies Graham and 3G Companies are pursuing.
Attend RFP kickoff and interview-preparation meetings.
Support the Graham Golf & Wine Dinner Committee in preparing for the event.
Review and organize marketing project pages and materials.
Conduct research on vertical markets, industry trends, competitors, and clients.
Follow Graham Core Processes.
Assist with developing and executing marketing initiatives across the company.
Assist with RFQ/RFP submissions, including research and content writing.
Collaborate with regional teams to gather marketing content.
Organize client and prospect information and support business development data tracking.
Attend job site tours to learn about construction projects and the markets 3G Companies serves.
Create and present an end-of-internship project to the leadership team.
Complete intern education projects and assignments related to marketing, business development, and the construction industry.
Help organize digital assets, update marketing spreadsheets, and coordinate logistics for events or webinars.
Attend company-wide events, including the safety meeting, quarterly retreats, State of the Company meeting, and company golf tournament.
