About The Position

This Marketing Intern role will support our corporate Business Development/Marketing team. This role provides hands-on experience in proposal development, brand positioning, and strategic communications in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. This role will gain exposure to the marketing and business development process in a professional services environment, experience working with technical teams on real-world infrastructure projects, the opportunity to build a portfolio of proposals and marketing materials, and mentorship from experienced marketing and engineering professionals. This position will assist in and have exposure to all facets of marketing for professional services.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Team player with a positive, can-do customer service attitude
  • Open to learning about marketing for professional services
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Commitment of approximately 25 hours a week for 10-12 weeks
  • Must be computer literate
  • Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English or a similar field within the next 12-24 months is preferred.
  • Interest in engineering, infrastructure, or the AEC industry preferred
  • familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus
  • potential for full-time employment upon mutual agreement

Responsibilities

  • Developing proposals and statement of qualifications (SOQs)
  • Preparing and formatting marketing materials and deliverables
  • Researching and tracking project leads and client opportunities
  • Contribute to content creation for social media, website updates and internal communications
  • Supporting filing, organization and other administrative duties
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally, if needed
