About The Position

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing initiatives while providing customer service. The ideal candidate must be a student at WCU (with Marketing as a Major or Minor strongly encouraged). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs. Requirements

  • Must be a student at WCU (with Marketing as a Major or Minor strongly encouraged)
  • Likes to have fun at work while demonstrating a sales competitive nature
  • Interest in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plan and dining services
  • Work well independently and with a team
  • Self-motivated and strong communicator with managers, customers and parents
  • Experience with social media, photography and video

Nice To Haves

  • A flexible schedule: both day and night is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge about Meal Plans and overall Dining Service Program
  • Represent Dining Services with a friendly, professional and engaging attitude while providing excellent customer service
  • Create and manage marketing content, including social media posts, photography, video and promotional materials
  • Develop graphic and marketing material using Canva
  • Support meal plan sales initiatives
  • Perform general office administration duties
  • Work independently in an autonomous environment while adhering to all workplace policies and procedures
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively, demonstrating strong organization skills, creativity and attention to detail
