About The Position

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing initiatives while providing customer service. The ideal candidate must be a student at WCU (with Marketing as a Major or Minor strongly encouraged). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs. Requirements

Must be a student at WCU (with Marketing as a Major or Minor strongly encouraged)
Likes to have fun at work while demonstrating a sales competitive nature
Interest in Sales and/or Marketing
Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plan and dining services
Work well independently and with a team
Self-motivated and strong communicator with managers, customers and parents
Experience with social media, photography and video

Nice To Haves

A flexible schedule: both day and night is a plus!

Responsibilities

Knowledge about Meal Plans and overall Dining Service Program
Represent Dining Services with a friendly, professional and engaging attitude while providing excellent customer service
Create and manage marketing content, including social media posts, photography, video and promotional materials
Develop graphic and marketing material using Canva
Support meal plan sales initiatives
Perform general office administration duties
Work independently in an autonomous environment while adhering to all workplace policies and procedures
Prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively, demonstrating strong organization skills, creativity and attention to detail
