Interns will help develop and edit graphics, layouts, and design solutions while building practical experience in a professional creative environment. This role is ideal for early-stage students who want to grow their skills and portfolio by working on real-world assignments. Henny Penny is a behind-the-scenes engine in the world's most demanding kitchens, including long-term partners like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, KFC, and Wendy's. The company recently completed a significant expansion on its Eaton campus, adding 150,000 square feet for global research and development, collaborative spaces, a dedicated electrical engineering lab, a full model shop for rapid prototyping, a brand-new test lab, and a state-of-the-art kitchen for food science.

Requirements

  • Student in a graphic design program.
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, design principles, and composition.
  • Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and eagerness to learn.
  • A developing portfolio showing creativity, foundational skills, and interest in visual design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing layouts for marketing materials using well-organized and visually appealing graphics following the Brand Guidelines.
  • Participate in design projects from concept to completion by executing smaller assigned tasks.
  • Select appropriate colors, images, typography, and layout options for project needs from the Brand Guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving design trends, tools, and techniques.
