Marketing Editor

Early Media•Austin, TX

About The Position

Early Media is creating and distributing groundbreaking original series. We craft narratives with viral potential while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between filmmaker and audience into the tightest iteration loop in the industry. We're hiring a marketing editor to own everything Level puts out beyond the shows themselves. That means website video, social content, promos, and the pieces we put in front of investors. You'll work as a one-person unit. You cut, design, mix, and grade your own work, and you turn notes from a lot of stakeholders into better cuts, fast.

Requirements

  • Self-directed and fast. You can take a vague ask and come back with something finished, polished, and on brand.
  • A portfolio of commercial, promo, or branded work. Spots, trailers, sizzles, launch videos, social campaigns.
  • Expert in Premiere Pro and/or Davinci Resolve, with working ability in After Effects for graphics and titles.
  • Solid all-around finishing. You can build clean motion graphics, sound design and mix a piece to delivery spec, and grade to a consistent look.
  • Experience juggling multiple stakeholders. You've combined competing notes, pushed back when a note makes the work worse, and still delivered on time.
  • Fluency across formats. 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1, from 6 seconds to 3 minutes. You know what works on a website, in a feed, and in a pitch meeting.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency, in-house creative, or post house experience on commercial campaigns.
  • Advanced motion design. You can come up with graphics ideas, carry them out, and build templates others can reuse.
  • Design beyond video. Static social assets, thumbnails, and deck visuals in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma.
  • Trailer or promo experience for series or entertainment.
  • Copy instincts. You can write a hook, a headline, and a CTA that land.

Responsibilities

  • Editing for Level's marketing content. Website video, social, trailers, promos, and investor-facing pieces, from first cut to final deliverable.
  • GFX & Finishing. Most pieces won't go to a finishing team, so what you export is what ships. You will own graphics, sound and color for each project.
  • Stakeholder collaboration. You collect notes from publishing, platform, leadership, and creative, and manage feedback with the various stakeholders.
  • Your own queue. With support from post producers you will be managing multiple projects and stakeholders, and expected to be actively prioritizing and communicating. If you need a detailed brief and a daily check-in, this probably isn't the right fit.
  • Assets built for reuse. Your media, projects, templates, and exports are organized, so the next version, cutdown, or aspect ratio takes hours, not days.
