About The Position

As the Director of Multifamily Marketing, you’ll be responsible for creating, implementing, and directing marketing activities for the firm’s real estate portfolio of assets consisting of more than 13,000 conventional multifamily units and 65+ properties throughout greater Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of previous experience in a marketing role with at least 5+ managing a team of people; Additional consideration will be given to those with real estate investment-related marketing experience in multi-family real estate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field required.
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with design software a plus (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva).
  • Experience with property management software systems a plus (Yardi).
  • Experience with lead management software plus (CRM).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3+ marketing professionals in the development and execution of annual strategic marketing plans to support achieving revenue and occupancy goals that align with the goals of each respective community.
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements, with a significant emphasis on digital, to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies and make recommendations for enhancements to current programs and platforms.
  • Participate in the oversight of key marketing relationships including website development, ILS, PPC, SEO, reputation management, print, strategic branding, locator services, and property management system marketing technologies.
  • Develop benchmark criteria to regularly measure and report on the effectiveness of all marketing programs to drive highly qualified leads and achieve optimal ROI on marketing spend.
  • Collaborate with the sales and training team to develop and maintain exceptional, on-trend marketing materials, merchandise and monthly promotions to achieve firms’ goals.
  • Responsible for the ongoing education, development, mentoring and performance management of a team of individuals. Hire and train as necessary.
  • Develop and execute the customer lifecycle program to attract residents to the firm’s brands and achieve a portfolio-wide resident retention rate.
  • Lead the management and positioning of the firm’s real estate brands to ensure consistent identity, messaging and integrity across all marketing platforms, collateral and communications.
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services within the market.
  • Extremely organized, strong proficiency in the use of project management software such as, Air table, and SharePoint.
  • Responsible for processing all marketing program invoices in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with New Development to build the strategic lease-up marketing plan.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
