About The Position

DeWaard & Bode is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Marketing Director to lead their full marketing portfolio. This leadership role will oversee all aspects of marketing strategy and execution, including digital advertising, broadcast media, eCommerce, creative production, brand partnerships, in-store marketing, and customer engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong operational leadership and a deep understanding of modern retail marketing. The Marketing Director will be responsible for marketing strategy, budgeting, agency relationships, and performance analysis, ensuring all marketing efforts align with company objectives, revenue growth, and profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing strategy, digital advertising, media buying, and brand management.
  • Strong experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors, and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing performance metrics, analytics, attribution, and eCommerce.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive omni-channel marketing and eCommerce strategies that support company growth and profitability goals.
  • Lead annual and ongoing marketing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all channels.
  • Own marketing strategy, resource allocation, and agency/vendor relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and ROI.
  • Oversee the department’s technology, platforms, tools, and team performance to improve effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Direct strategy, media buying, budgeting, and content development for traditional and digital broadcast channels, including Radio (terrestrial and streaming) and Television (linear, OTT, and connected TV).
  • Manage and optimize legacy and modern media partnerships, including print, digital publications, sponsorships, and community collaborations.
  • Lead paid media strategy alongside agency partners across Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, and other platforms.
  • Drive audience acquisition, engagement, and conversion through data-driven marketing and campaign optimization.
  • Own the digital marketing ecosystem, including SEO, SEM, paid media, social commerce, and analytics.
  • Develop and execute the company’s eCommerce strategy to drive online revenue and improve customer experience.
  • Partner with IT, UX/UI, and digital teams to optimize website performance, mobile experience, site architecture, and conversion rates.
  • Oversee analytics, attribution modeling, and performance dashboards to guide decision-making and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate on in-store marketing and communication channels, including signage, point-of-purchase materials, promotional messaging, and merchandising displays.
  • Plan and execute major sales events, sponsorships, and community partnerships that strengthen customer engagement and brand visibility.
  • Launch and manage customer loyalty and rewards initiatives.
  • Maintain consistency in retail floor and web pricing across all locations and digital platforms.
  • Build strategic relationships with industry partners, media outlets, and creative collaborators.
  • Serve as the company’s representative with Nationwide Marketing Group, including conference participation, shared program implementation, and technology adoption.
  • Manage marketing subscriptions, creative production tools, and third-party applications.
