About The Position

Nitta Gelatin, a multi-site manufacturing company, is seeking an Marketing Communications Intern to join our Morrisville, NC team. The Marketing Communications intern will promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products. This is will be an hourly part time position. COMPANY SUMMARY Nitta Gelatin is a global manufacturer of gelatin and collagen peptides with over 100 years of history. Our company focus is on harnessing natural collagen to produce a variety of products for use in numerous food, nutritional and pharmaceutical applications. We are a diverse and dynamic company focused on providing our customers with exceptional quality and customer service.

Requirements

Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects, planning, posting and working with social media
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs.
Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing manager, committee, or sales team.
Performs market research.
Manage and posts on social media.
Manage communications on company website.
Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
Coordinates, attends and participates in trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth.
