About The Position

Nitta Gelatin, a multi-site manufacturing company, is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Morrisville, NC team. The Marketing Communications Specialist will promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products. This position has the potential to be a hybrid opportunity with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience marketing communications, brand marketing, or a similar role supporting both digital and print campaigns is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing strategies, including social media, website content management, email campaigns, print collateral, and multimedia assets.
  • Proficiency with design and content tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience managing and posting content across multiple social media platforms with an understanding of engagement metrics and brand voice.
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and basic web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics or similar tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market and competitive research and translate findings into effective communication strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to understand product positioning and campaign goals.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating trade shows, community events, or promotional activities, including on-site representation.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to present design concepts and campaign recommendations confidently.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with the ability to be on-site at least three days per week

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an ingredient based industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs.
  • Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
  • Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
  • Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing manager, committee, or sales team.
  • Performs market research.
  • Manage and posts on social media.
  • Manage communications on company website.
  • Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
  • Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
  • Coordinates, attends and participates in trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth.
  • Other duties as assigned
