About The Position

RumbergerKirk is seeking a creative, collaborative, and results-driven Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Business Development team. This position plays an integral role in enhancing the firm's visibility, supporting attorney thought leadership, managing public relations initiatives, and creating compelling content that strengthens our brand across multiple offices and practice areas. Working alongside the Director of Marketing & Business Development, this role will lead content development, public relations, social media strategy, legal rankings and awards submissions, media relations, internal communications, and website content initiatives that support the firm's business development goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of marketing, communications, public relations, or content development experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management, CRM platforms, and content marketing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to support content creating, research, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to occasionally travel between firm offices and attend firm events, conferences, recruiting events, and client functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit articles, client alerts, newsletters, presentations, website content, and other marketing materials.
  • Ghostwrite and edit attorney-authored content for publication and distribution.
  • Manage the firm's thought leadership calendar and content pipeline.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to identify topics and opportunities that showcase experience and insights.
  • Lead the firm's social media strategy and oversee content planning, creation, publishing, and performance reporting.
  • Develop engaging content highlighting attorney accomplishments, firm news, recruiting initiatives, community involvement, and firm culture.
  • Monitor social media performance and recommend strategies to increase engagement and visibility.
  • Support attorneys in enhancing their professional presence on LinkedIn and other approved platforms.
  • Manage media outreach, press releases, publication placements, attorney recognitions, and media inquiries.
  • Coordinate attorney interview preparation and provide communications support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with legal and business media contacts.
  • Oversee legal directory submissions, rankings, and award nominations.
  • Track earned media coverage and publicity opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain the firm's CRM system and marketing distribution lists.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support marketing and business development efforts.
  • Ensure consistency of the firm's brand and messaging across all communications channels.
  • Manage website content updates, including attorney biographies, news, events, and practice area content.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and creative partners on marketing initiatives.
  • Manage firmwide announcements, recruiting campaigns, intranet content, and employee engagement communications.
  • Serve as the marketing liaison to internal firm committees, supporting committee communications, content development, and event promotion.
  • Support marketing initiatives related to recruiting, onboarding, community involvement, and firm events.
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual marketing and communications plans.
