About The Position

Peddler's Village is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to support the department and operations. This role involves creative and administrative contributions to strategy development, social media, media and public relations, advertising, metrics reporting and analysis, and information systems management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, with exceptionally strong attention to detail and proofreading
  • Experience in managing WordPress websites
  • Experience in representing businesses/organizations on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media channels
  • Success in boosting engagement and building followers on social media by producing creative content
  • Experience in creating videos for social media
  • Understanding of copyright laws and commitment to securing permissions before sharing material not owned by Peddler’s Village
  • Familiarity with website and social media analytics analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a variety of teams and effectively handle multiple projects with a constant eye on deadlines and budgets
  • Capacity to interact with colleagues, merchants, and Peddler’s Village guests in a polished, professional manner
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Candidates must be available on select weekends and evenings to attend/cover festivals and other events.
  • On-site, regular 5 days/week work schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Graphic design skills/sensibilities preferred
  • Experience with Meltwater, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and/or other similar programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Sales & Marketing on all marketing-related activities, including social media, the development and implementation of promotional materials, website and blog content, mobile app, e-blasts, advertising plans and placement, press releases, media lists, photography, videography, and metrics/results reporting, and influencers.
  • Support short-term marketing, long-term marketing, and overall branding objectives by developing online content strategy.
  • Work with creative services manager to monitor and update website content, including blog posts, on five sites: Peddler’s Village, Golden Plough Inn, Giggleberry Fair, Earl’s New American, and Buttonwood Grill.
  • Coordinate with PV management/marketing team and merchants for content for social media and eblasts.
  • Create content (copy and images/video) for, make connections on, monitor, and provide responses as appropriate on all Peddler’s Village social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Tik Tok, and others.
  • Create, manage and monitor activity on ads on social media channels.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain Peddler’s Village’s mobile app.
  • Monitor and update profiles and images for Peddler’s Village and all of its operations/businesses on TripAdvisor, Google My Business, OpenTable, Yelp, Visit Bucks County, Visit Philly, and other online platforms.
  • Create and distribute press releases as required.
  • Upload events to various external online calendars as required (Visit Bucks County, Philly Fun Guide, Bucks County Alive, METRO, Patch, Delaware River Towns, etc.).
  • Support festival initiatives and operations as required, including sponsorship sales and support.
  • Conduct market research as required.
  • Participate in regular/weekly meetings related to marketing.
  • Create copy for and/or review, copyedit, and proof marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain eblast subscriber lists.
  • Monitor, record, and prepare monthly reports on earned publicity.
  • Maintain a master marketing calendar and communicate deadlines with staff members.
  • Maintain advertising log.
  • Maintain a central archive of printed materials for institutional use.
  • Support community relations efforts (i.e. donations, etc.).
  • Assist in processing vendor invoices for approval and payment.
