About The Position

Ingredion is seeking an ambitious student for a Marketing Communications Intern position for summer 2027. This role will support integrated marketing communications in the U.S. and Canada region, reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager. The intern will assist in managing and driving the marketing communications planning process, timeline, and deliverables with internal teams and agency partners, focusing on both digital marketing initiatives and tradeshows. Responsibilities include collaborating with design and development on creative assets, channel owners on tactics, and stakeholders for approvals. The intern will also work with the Digital Team Lead to measure and report on communication activity results and identify improvement opportunities. A key project will involve developing and presenting a mini-marketing communications campaign for a global initiative.

Requirements

  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or related field.
  • Ability to work safely in an office environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day.
  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
  • If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and driving deliverables with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Aid in developing SOWs and briefs, managing timelines, and building deliverables.
  • Collaborate with marcomms team on communications strategy for category and specialties business segments to enhance position within the marketplace, leveraging relevant market research and competitive intel.
  • Participate in strategic and creative design of marketing communications activities and materials including advertising, website, social media, video production, live and virtual events, and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to brainstorm tactics, create messaging, define positioning, and develop content specific to key audiences.
  • Support in the execution of marketing activities for our U.S. tradeshows.
  • Write and edit copy for a range of materials and channels.
  • Leverage Adobe Express to create supporting marketing materials for social media initiatives, digital marketing campaigns and events.
  • Measure and report results to continuously improve.
