About The Position

Synergy is seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Intern to support our marketing, employer branding, employee engagement, and recruiting initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, internal communications, event planning, and brand development. The Marketing & Communications Intern will work closely with the People & Culture, Sales, and Leadership teams to help strengthen Synergy's brand, support recruiting efforts, and enhance employee engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world marketing experience while contributing to meaningful projects.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Experience creating content for social media, newsletters, or websites.
  • Basic photography, videography, or video editing skills.
  • Interest in employer branding, recruiting, employee engagement, or corporate communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and scheduling content across social media platforms.
  • Develop engaging content that highlights Synergy's culture, employees, events, and community involvement.
  • Support the promotion of company initiatives, awards, partnerships, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Monitor social media engagement and provide recommendations for increasing reach and visibility.
  • Research marketing trends and competitor activity.
  • Assist with creating and posting job advertisements.
  • Develop recruiting materials that showcase Synergy's culture and employee experience.
  • Help promote internal job opportunities and career development programs.
  • Support recruiting campaigns through social media, job boards, and other marketing channels.
  • Assist in creating content that highlights employee success stories and career growth opportunities.
  • Assist with the creation and publication of Synergy's monthly newsletter, The Syndicate.
  • Develop employee spotlight features, team updates, and company announcements.
  • Draft content for Microsoft Teams posts, company communications, and leadership messages.
  • Help ensure internal communications align with Synergy's mission, values, and culture.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, contests, celebrations, and company events.
  • Help organize company meetings, recognition programs, volunteer activities, and team-building initiatives.
  • Create promotional materials and communications for employee events.
  • Capture photos and content from company events for future marketing and communication efforts.
  • Design flyers, presentations, graphics, and promotional materials using Canva or similar design platforms.
  • Assist with creating videos, graphics, and visual content for both internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication materials.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, content schedules, and project trackers.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support company-wide initiatives.
