This is not a typical co-op. As Rennscot's Marketing Co-Op, you will hold a dual-impact role that sits at the intersection of Sales and Human Resources — two teams with a shared need: compelling stories told well. You will work directly with both groups to build content, craft narratives, and bring the Rennscot brand to life — externally for customers and prospects, and internally for talent attraction and recruitment. From day one, you will own meaningful work. You will see your writing published, your videos posted, and your ideas in action. If you are a creative, driven communicator who wants real experience — not just tasks — this is your role. What You'll Do Sales — Writing & Storytelling You will be the voice that helps customers understand why Rennscot is different. That means translating complex technical capability into language that resonates, builds trust, and drives action. Write compelling product spotlights that showcase Rennscot's manufacturing capabilities, precision work, and technical expertise to prospective customers Develop customer success stories that highlight the real-world impact of our work across aerospace, defense, robotics, and semiconductor applications Create written content for sales collateral, proposals, and digital channels that communicates the Rennscot difference in clear, engaging language Partner with the sales team to understand customer wins and translate them into shareable content assets Human Resources — Employer Brand & Recruitment Marketing You will help define and amplify why talented people choose Rennscot — and why they stay. This is more than writing job postings. It is about shaping the story of a company on the rise. Help develop and execute Rennscot's employer branding strategy — defining and communicating why talented people choose to build their careers here Craft the narrative around Rennscot's culture, values, team, and growth opportunities in a way that resonates with students and early-career candidates Produce short-form video content and social media posts that showcase life at Rennscot — including team spotlights, behind-the-scenes shop floor content, and employee stories Create recruitment materials including job posting templates, school outreach content, and co-op and internship program collateral Support active recruitment campaigns at local technical schools and community colleges through digital content and event materials What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who brings both creative instinct and professional discipline — someone who can move between a content calendar and a shop floor conversation without losing a beat. The right candidate will demonstrate the following: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex, technical manufacturing information into clear, compelling, and human language Hands-on comfort with content creation tools, including video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar), graphic design platforms (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and social media scheduling tools Curiosity about advanced manufacturing — you do not need an engineering background, but you should be genuinely interested in understanding how things are made and why that matters Project management discipline — the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, meet deadlines without constant prompting, and flag issues early Cross-functional communication skills — you will be embedded across Sales and HR simultaneously, and success depends on your ability to ask the right questions, listen well, and translate what you hear into content An ownership mindset — you treat your work as if your name is on it, because at Rennscot, it will be Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field is required. Who You Are You are a communicator first. You might describe yourself as someone who has always been the person who figures out how to say something in a way that actually lands. You write clearly, speak confidently, and you know that the best content comes from listening before you type. You are curious about the world of manufacturing — maybe because a family member works in it, maybe because you want to understand the industries that make the physical world run, or maybe just because you like knowing how things work. Either way, you do not need to be an expert to thrive here. You just need to be willing to learn. You are not looking for a co-op where someone gives you a task list and checks in once a week. You want to be in the room, know why decisions are made, and see your work actually used. You are collaborative without being dependent. You can work independently, but you also know when to ask for input, when to push back, and when to run with an idea. You are organized enough to manage competing priorities and self-aware enough to ask for help when you need it. Physical Requirements Ability to move between office and production floor environments, including walking across manufacturing facilities and navigating stairs and multiple levels. Ability to alternate between extended periods of sitting (computer work, content creation, meetings) and standing or walking during facility visits and video shoots. Adequate vision and hearing (with or without correction) to review digital content, observe production processes, and communicate effectively in both office and manufacturing environments. Ability to occasionally lift or carry equipment (camera gear, event materials, etc.) up to 25 pounds. Adaptability to varying environmental conditions, including temperature differences between climate-controlled office space and the production floor, as well as moderate noise levels during facility time. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) — including safety glasses and closed-toe shoes — during all production floor visits. Fine motor skills sufficient for extended computer use, camera and audio equipment operation, and mobile device use for content capture. Job Type: On-Site Job Location: Woburn, MA.
