About The Position

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Specialist to support its International Trade & Investment (Trade) and Antitrust & Competition (ACER) practices. This role is part of a global M&BD team and will collaborate with partners and cross-functional colleagues to drive strategic marketing and business development initiatives. The Specialist will manage key workstreams including pitching, campaigns, events, and client development programs, while also contributing to practice strategy and targeting. The firm emphasizes a collaborative environment with deep sector expertise and a global reach.

  • Bachelor’s degree required (marketing, communications, or related field preferred).

  • Experience in iPublish, Foundation, and InterAction or other CRM systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the development and delivery of pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Partner with lawyers and M&BD colleagues to shape targeting strategies, develop positioning, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Create and maintain core pitch materials, including credentials, matter descriptions, and experience databases.
  • Contribute proactively to global and cross-practice pitch opportunities.
  • Lead and execute integrated marketing campaigns to raise profile with priority clients and target markets.
  • Develop and distribute thought leadership content, including web, social media, and client communications.
  • Support strategic social media initiatives, advising on effective and compliant use of platforms.
  • Draft compelling marketing copy and ensure consistent messaging aligned with firm strategy.
  • Support and manage directory and award submissions.
  • Promote practice capabilities internally and externally through coordinated communication efforts.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of seminars, sponsorships, and client events.
  • Evaluate event and sponsorship opportunities and advise on participation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality event experiences and follow-up engagement.
  • Conduct market, client, and competitor research to inform BD strategy and support targeting decisions.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting the practice and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance CRM and marketing data quality.
  • Develop and manage targeted mailing lists and campaign tracking tools.
  • Support continuous improvement of M&BD processes and workflows.
  • Contribute to broader Global Regulatory & IP and cross-practice M&BD initiatives.
  • Collaborate across regions and functions, demonstrating strong stakeholder management and communication.
  • Participate in the global Responsible Business program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
