About The Position

The Marketing Automation Specialist supports the day-to-day execution and maintenance of BELAY’s marketing technology and automation systems. This hands-on role builds and maintains workflows, emails, forms, lead handoffs, and other automated processes while helping ensure marketing data and assets are accurate, organized, and reliable. The Marketing Automation Specialist partners across Marketing, Sales, and Service Line teams to implement changes, troubleshoot issues, maintain marketing technology, and support scalable growth. This role works closely with Marketing Operations, Marketing Data, MarTech, Creative, and Paid Media partners to support system integrations, reporting accuracy, and conversion tracking.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, coordination, administration, or a related role.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with HubSpot.
  • Experience executing detail-oriented processes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes and execute work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Asana, or comparable marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience with data cleanup, migration, list management, or data governance.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research, documentation, or workflow automation.
  • Experience supporting marketing automation, paid media, marketing operations, or project management initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer the HubSpot data model, including lifecycle stages, contact and company properties, custom objects, and the relationships between them, escalating structural issues as needed.
  • Remediate and help prevent structural data issues by maintaining naming conventions and property governance standards.
  • Run recurring data quality audits covering duplicates, and retired items in our platforms—Paid Ads, Organic Social, Asana, etc.
  • Systematically audit and organize channels, platforms, and MarTech so tools and reporting can rely on clean data.
  • Monitor and QA workflows and automations within techstack to ensure they are functioning correctly, troubleshooting errors or unexpected behavior as needed.
  • Build, test, QA, and maintain automations, workflows, forms, emails, and related technical processes across HubSpot and the broader MarTech stack.
  • Implement and maintain behavioral intent tiering to support audience segmentation based on demonstrated intent and engagement.
  • Identify and reconcile discrepancies between HubSpot and Salesforce, escalating structural synchronization issues as appropriate.
  • Support conversion tracking and email deliverability, including list health, suppressions, and send QA.
  • Partner with AEO and SEO owners to translate evolving strategies into tactical execution.
  • Troubleshoot systems, data, and technical processes to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Support channel owners with landing page builds, publishing, tagging, testing, and technical setup for evolving AEO and SEO initiatives.
  • Execute established processes consistently, document procedures, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Support additional marketing operations projects as assigned.
  • Build and maintain proficiency across HubSpot, Meta, Google, Asana, and other internal marketing tools.
  • Leverage AI tools appropriately to support research, troubleshooting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in researching solutions, troubleshooting issues, and documenting learnings for future use.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, or automate recurring processes.
