The Marketing Associate, Organic Social Media demonstrates creativity and initiative as they help bring GMAC’s products and services to life across social channels. The role focuses on engaging GMAC’s audience through compelling content, authentic conversations, and campaigns that highlight how our products make a difference. Success in this role requires a data-driven mindset, a deep understanding of performance marketing, and the ability to leverage analytics tools to track campaign effectiveness and drive continuous optimization. The Marketing Associate, Organic Social Media also stays ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure GMAC’s social media strategies remain cutting-edge and impactful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in social media advertising.
  • Proven track record managing and optimizing social media campaigns across Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube, TikTok, and other digital channels.
  • Self-starter mindset, with a strong ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive strategic initiatives forward.
  • Exceptional organizational, project planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with an eye for engaging visuals.
  • Passion for building community and sparking meaningful conversations online.
  • Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC’s hybrid work environment.
  • Ability to travel to multiple event locations (domestic) and provide onsite event execution for Tours (up to a weeklong trip) 1-2 times a year.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in B2C marketing with a focus on driving measurable growth.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and similar tools for tracking and optimizing performance.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, publish, and manage engaging social content (video and static) that highlights the benefits of GME, and GMACs product portfolio including the GMAT Exam, the EA Exam, official prep resources, Tours events, Business Fundamentals, GradSelect, and new products as they launch.
  • Manage multiple platforms including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Oversee community engagement by responding to comments, questions, and conversations to build a vibrant, authentic connection with followers. Escalate relevant comments and messages to GMAC customer care as needed.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, regional marketing, and creative teams to plan and execute campaigns that support product launches, partnerships, promotions, webinars, contests and giveaways, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage the social media calendar, ensuring consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
  • Live or event-based coverage during the summer/fall Tours season.
  • Monitor trends, conversations, and emerging platforms to keep content and strategy current and relevant.
  • Manage organic social posting and scheduling through Hootsuite; identify and boost high-performing posts.
  • Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and leads; translate insights into actionable recommendations and share regular reports with leadership.
  • Maintain organized records of campaign assets, timelines, and promotional plans.
  • Write compelling, platform-optimized copy for posts and ads.
  • Support Senior Paid Media Manager, as needed.
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
