About The Position

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is a leading diversified media company that produces and distributes engaging local and national news, sports and entertainment content across its television and digital platforms. This role is responsible for the conceptualization and production of on-air station image and promotion, with a primary focus on news. The producer will maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles, while employing strong customer service skills and meeting deadlines. The position also involves overseeing the content, staff, and budget of a daily lifestyle show.

Requirements

• College degree
• Advanced knowledge of creating and producing promotional spots from concept through the post-production process.
• Broad understanding of marketing and design.
• Ability to translate brand visual identity and style guides into day-to-day project creation.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive experience creating and delivering projects on deadline.
• The position will require day-to-day multi-tasking, as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility in breaking news situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local stakeholders and company peers with conceptualization and production of on-air station image and promotion with a primary focus on news.
• Maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles while employing strong customer service skills.
• Oversee content, staff and budget of daily lifestyle show.
• Translate brand visual identity and style guides into day-to-day project creation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility in breaking news situations.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and news departments.
• Meet all deadlines, fulfill scheduling commitments, and consistently achieve deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Communicate project status, assets needed, expectations, and provide customer service skills across a large group.
