About The Position

The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager leads the day-to-day execution of Prisma Community Care’s marketing and community engagement strategy under the direction of the Senior Director of Marketing and Community Relations. The Manager translates strategic direction into coordinated plans, workflows, and deliverables across marketing, outreach, community engagement, and key events. This role manages a small team responsible for digital marketing, website and social media content, community outreach support, patient acquisition and retention marketing, brand visibility efforts, and community-facing programs that strengthen awareness, trust, and connection to Prisma’s services, ensuring that work is aligned, organized, measurable, and executed effectively across channels. This position plays an important role in increasing awareness and utilization of eligible services, strengthening community visibility, supporting retention and re-engagement efforts, and helping guide audiences from awareness to action. The role also ensures that Nice Package functions as both a well-run community resource and a strategic pathway to increase awareness, mail orders, website traffic, and connections to Prisma services. The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager supports the Prisma Community Care mission of providing affirming and inclusive services to promote well-being and advance health equity for diverse communities and all those seeking compassionate care - especially people of color, 2SLGBTQIA+ and Queer individuals, and those affected by HIV.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, outreach, community engagement, or related work.
  • 1+ years of direct staff supervision or team leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel campaigns, projects, and workflows from planning through execution.
  • Strong experience in digital marketing, website content management, and social media strategy.
  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate performance and improve results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including content development, editing, and message adaptation for different audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments while maintaining clear priorities and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully and effectively with culturally diverse communities.

  • Currently have, or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment, a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and access to a personal vehicle for work-related activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, public health, nonprofit marketing, or mission-driven service organizations.
  • Experience with patient acquisition, patient engagement, or service-line marketing.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Experience managing or supporting events, outreach activities, or public-facing engagement campaigns.
  • Experience supervising staff in creative, outreach, or program coordination roles.
  • Familiarity with donor or fundraising marketing support.
  • Experience working with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, HIV prevention, sexual health, or affirming care environments.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct-report staff within the Marketing and Community Engagement Program.
  • Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure team projects are completed on time and in alignment with department priorities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance feedback conversations.
  • Support staff accountability, professional growth, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Maintain workflows, calendars, and processes that improve execution across marketing, outreach, Nice Package, and events.
  • Partner with the Senior Director to implement annual goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the department.
  • Carry out Prisma’s marketing and community engagement strategy as set by the Senior Director of Marketing and Community Relations.
  • Translate strategic priorities into coordinated campaigns and content across digital, web, social media, and community-facing channels.
  • Lead marketing efforts that increase awareness of Prisma’s services, generate new patient interest, support retention and re-engagement, and increase awareness and utilization of eligible services.
  • Oversee day-to-day website and social media execution, including content updates, audience engagement, and alignment with Prisma’s brand and messaging.
  • Support digital improvements that strengthen customer experience and create clearer pathways from web traffic to appointments.
  • Provide marketing support for development efforts through assigned website updates and social media promotion.
  • Lead community visibility efforts that increase awareness, recognition, and trust in Prisma.
  • Oversee outreach, community engagement, and event participation carried out through direct-report staff, and attend high-priority events as needed.
  • Ensure that outreach materials, event presence, and community-facing activities support Prisma’s brand, audience goals, and service-awareness priorities.
  • Supervise the Program Coordinator responsible for day-to-day Nice Package operations, including inventory, fulfillment, postage, and replenishment.
  • Ensure Nice Package supports Prisma’s community engagement and audience growth goals, including strategic deployment at key outreach events and stronger pathways to Prisma web pages and appointment opportunities.
  • Ensure all required documentation and reporting for Nice Package ADHS grant contract deliverables are met and completed in a timely manner.
  • Track and report on assigned metrics related to campaign execution, digital engagement, website traffic, patient interest, community visibility, and Nice Package trends.
  • Maintain organized project plans, content calendars, asset libraries, and reporting tools.
  • Identify workflow improvements and content opportunities to strengthen the department's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Use analytics and performance insights to evaluate results and improve effectiveness.
