The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has awarded $15 million to establish the Advancing Standardization in Critical and Emerging Technologies (ASCET) Center of Excellence (CoE) supporting U.S. engagement in international standardization for Critical and Emerging Technologies (CETs). Led by ASTM International, ASCET will drive collaboration between industry, government, and academia to accelerate CET standardization, aligning with the U.S. Standards Strategy. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for ASCET’s communications efforts with stakeholder ecosystems across each CET, with emphasis on engaging industry, government, academia, SDOs, and media organizations. This role expands ASCET’s reach and impact by developing messaging, managing dissemination channels, and packaging ASCET outputs for technical and executive audiences. This role does not own partnership development; it enables the Industry Engagement function by providing communications assets, campaigns, and dissemination support. The ideal candidate has a strong background in communications; B2B, B2G, and B2X marketing strategies and tactics; stakeholder communications and external dissemination within technical or public-private partnership environments within the technical, government, academic, or standardization sectors.
