About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno Orvis School of Nursing (OSN) invites applications for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This position will support the strategic growth and visibility of its academic programs, research initiatives, and community partnerships. This position will ensure consistent, aligned messaging and branding in collaboration with the University’s Office of Marketing and Communications, while also addressing the OSN’s unique marketing needs. With expanding programs and national visibility goals, dedicated support is essential to effectively manage web content, print materials, and internal/external communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and two years of related work experience.
  • Related experience: Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in a higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit setting or related field.
  • 2 years of content creation, digital media, media relations and/or brand strategy.
  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend events
  • Frequent travel within the region is required, including to the Lake Tahoe campus and partner health systems
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to attend conferences, outreach events, or training sessions on behalf of OSN

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies in a higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and social media platforms for institutional branding and audience engagement.
  • Skill in capturing high-quality photographs and digital content for use in print and online media.
