Our Marketing and Communications Banking Internship Program offers a dynamic 10-week experience designed to provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive introduction to marketing and communications within banking operations, with an emphasis on corporate communications. Interns will collaborate with team members across our MarCom team. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our communications strategy, methods, and brand voice while engaging in professional development, analytical training, and networking. Key program components include: Onboarding Week: Kick off your internship with an orientation, featuring training sessions, networking with peers and SouthState leaders, and an introduction to our marketing and communications business. Hands-On Experience: Work alongside high-performing teams, participating in daily activities to build writing and project management skills, gain insight into critical communication needs, and understand the processes for providing line of business support. Mentorship & Support: Partner with experienced team members who provide guidance, answer questions, and offer feedback to help you navigate challenges and grow professionally. Leadership Development: Hear from senior leaders about industry trends in banking marketing and communications, and how to maximize your internship experience. Networking Opportunities: Engage in organized events to connect with peers, team members, and leaders across the organization while contributing to community initiatives.
