About The Position

The Marketing Agency Management Analyst helps steward State Farm’s relationships and investments with our marketing agency partners. You will help make agency performance transparent, run the governance behind agency scope, selection, and commercial terms, and give internal teams the guidance they need to maximize value of our marketing partnerships, minimize risk, and keep every partnership aligned to State Farm’s strategic priorities and goals. This team works in close partnership with the broader Marketing leadership as well as Procurement, Finance, Legal, and the agencies themselves. We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating broadly and excited to build and scale a growing capability within State Farm.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in agency management, marketing operations, or a related business function required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience working with marketing agencies, media agencies, or large vendor ecosystems, ideally within a holding-company structure
  • Familiarity with agency operating models, Scope of Work development, or contract management
  • Familiarity with agency compensation and fee models, including incentive design
  • Experience supporting cross-functional work involving multiple stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret data, spot trends, and turn them into actionable recommendations
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to communicate well with both internal stakeholders and external agency partners
  • Strong relationship, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, and comfort staying neutral when interests conflict
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to help shape a growing function

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building dashboards, scorecards, or in KPI monitoring & management
  • Experience with procurement, sourcing, or vendor management processes
  • Knowledge of marketing operations or integrated marketing practices
  • Experience leading process improvement or operational change
  • Sound commercial and financial judgment; experience with budgets, financial reporting, or commercial analysis

Responsibilities

  • Assess agency capabilities, strengths, and gaps; support roster planning; identify capability redundancies or gaps and recommend actions to resolve.
  • Support the annual Scope of Work process and contract development; help define clear, outcome-oriented scopes; manage scope changes and track contract requests through to completion, in partnership with Procurement and Legal.
  • Coordinate business reviews, scorecards, and KPIs; monitor agency performance; help agencies and business teams work through performance issues to resolution.
  • Track agency budgets, forecasts, and spend against targets; audit fees, hours, and third-party expenses; support the design of compensation and incentives that reward business priorities, in partnership with Procurement.
  • Build productive relationships with both agency and internal partners; help surface misalignment early and support the team in resolving it as an objective, neutral party focused on performance and outcomes.
  • Build dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio and spend reporting; keep reporting accurate and trustworthy; turn data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Develop and maintain governance processes, documentation, and operating procedures; check that internal teams and agencies follow agreed process; find ways to simplify and improve.
  • Partner across Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and agency teams to align priorities, manage deliverables, and resolve day-to-day challenges.
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready reports and presentations on agency strategy, performance, investment, and governance.
  • Support the rollout of new agency management routines, governance, and tools through documentation, communication, and team training.
